Maximalism & Throw Pillows. Say what!?

Have you seen a style called Maximalism trending in 2022? Same here. And yes, I had to Google it.

While most of us are hip to Minimalism and the use of bare essentials to make up a home - what's all this "maximalist" chatter about?

On a high-level, maximalist elements embrace vibrant colors, busy patterns and luxurious fabrics. Trending currently are:

- Touchable textures - Naturally occurring, vibrant hues - Botanical themes - Repetitive patterns - Animal prints The maximalist “more is more” motto is a shift from the minimalistic “less is more” approach. It is not to say Minimalism has left the building. It's more about the shift towards mixing these styles together in our home.

And while minimalism in the home remains strong in the foreground - cleanly designed spaces with multi-functional purposes - it's the maximalist background that's stealing the show.

So, today we're focusing on how you can introduce Maximalist décor in your home with our dear friend, the throw pillow!

These are so cute – maybe we should start making them!

By introducing new trends through BASIC accents in home décor – you can embrace what’s in style now – on a budget!
